Welcome Space

This is the Base of the Garnsychan Wellbeing Hub, Community Champions and Welcome Space. Also, where Volunteers can gain first-hand experience of administration, customer service and reception duties.

A Reduce, Recycle, Reuse service for the collection and resale of Household items as well as, Removal and House/Office Clearances.

Pantry & Food Hub

We can provide Emergency Food Parcels for those in need. Our Pantry offer residents access a whole range of good produce (12 items for £7.00) and we are also part of the FareShare network.

The baby bank provision is to help local families with necessary food items such as food, milk and nappies as well as clothing.

Connecting With Friends Lunch Club

A Weekly Lunch Club that provides a 3-course nutritious meal dedicated to preventing social isolation of our most vulnerable senior residents.

For residents who are in emergency credit with their gas or electricity meter and have no money to top up themselves.

Our Volunteers support the maintenance and upkeep of the gardens and allotments at Garnteg School and Abersychan comprehensive.

Training & Skills Academy

We host Volunteering placements enabling people to gain practical experience across our range of services, whilst also completing In House Training and/or Accredited Training

Litter Picking Hub

This allows residents and community groups to hire out litter picking sets for an agreed amount of time to keep our valley clean and tidy

Unity Hub – multipurpose community space, with an Information Screen, Community Defibrillator and community growing space.

Prescription Service

This service is there to help residents who are unable to order their prescription online. We can also help them get set up with either the NHS WALES APP or ordering online as well as home drop off.

This provision allows residents to hire children’s costumes with a small cost of £2 rental cost and a refundable £5 deposit.
