What We Do
We have recently adopted the old British telephone box in Garndiffaith. We are in the process of restoring and turning this into a new community treasure. The iconic red phone box will become something that brings more value and enjoyment to our local people. Part of this restoration will bring this local piece of history into a thriving multipurpose street unity hub. The phone box will include a lifesaving defibrillator, a digital information station; an interactive screen to bridge the digital divide with our community, with access to a wealth of important information for all ages; access to vital services, local history, walking routes and much more.
The unity hub will also include donation station for food and baby bank, community garden – seeded and planted by the community and schools. The hub will become a safe space for people who might otherwise feel uncomfortable about accessing provisions or agencies. It will support people with access not just to information at any time but lifesaving equipment and wellbeing activities.
